What is Google Pay?

Google Pay is a fast, simple way to pay with your phone. After you add our card to your Google Wallet, you can pay in stores, online and in apps where you see any of these symbols:

Google Pay is not available for iOS.

How do I set up my card for Google Wallet in my products app?

Make sure you have the lates version of the app.

  1. Open your products app, and click on your card.  
  2. Press “Digital Wallets”, and then “Add to wallet”.  
  3. Follow the instrukctions.  

How do I set up my card in Google Wallet?

On your phone: 

  1. Download the Google Wallet app from Google Play. 
  2. Open the Google Wallet app, tap Add to Wallet and scan your card or enter details manually. 
  3. Follow the instructions and verify your card. 

On your watch:  

  1. Open the Google Pay app on your watch. 
  2. Tap “Get started”. 
  3. Activate the screenlock. 
  4. On your phone, follow the instructions. 

How do I pay with Google Pay?

Wake or unlock your phone and hold the back just above the payment reader for a few seconds. When the contactless payment is successful, a blue check mark appears on your phone. 

If your phone doesn’t connect with the payment reader make sure your phones NFC-function is enabled. Go to your phones settings to check.  

To pay with your smartwatch, open the Google Pay app and hold your watch over the contactless payment reader until you hear a sound or feel vibration from your watch.

Press the Google Pay button in checkout and follow the instructions.  

Is it safe to use Google Pay?

Yes. When adding your card to Google Wallet your actual card details is not stored, instead a fictional card number is created and used when making purchases.  

Therefore, as you use Google Pay your actual card details is never shared with the store.  

Which products can be used in Google Wallet?

All our re:member products, Coop Mastercard (SE), LO Mervärde Mastercard (SE), PRO Mervärde Mastercard (SE) and Moregolf Mastercard (SE) can be added to Google Wallet.  

Where can I use Google Pay?

You can pay with Google Pay where you see any of these symbols:  

You can also use Google Pay online and in apps if the vendor has a payment agreement with Google Pay. Look for “Pay with Google Pay” or “Use Google Pay”.  

Can I add the same card to multiple devices?

Yes you can! 

Can I choose a default card?

Yes.

How do I manage my default card?

See which card is used as default card:  

You choose which card to use as a default – this card is always displayed on the Google Pay home screen at the top with additional payment options and loyalty cards stacked below. 

How to change default card:  

  1. On your phone, open the Google Wallet app  
  2. At the top right, tap your Profile picture and then Wallet. 
  3. Swipe left or right to the card you want to use. 
  4. Tap the card you want to use as your default contactless payment method. 
  5. Tap Set as default contactless. 

What is the amount limit when paying with Google Pay?

The amount limit is the same as for your card. The amount limit regarding contactless payments does not apply to Google Pay since you identify yourself. 

I have lost my phone- how do I block my card in Google Pay?

If your phone is lost or stolen, you can use “Find My Device”, read more here 

It is important to block your card in Google Wallet if you suspect someone has stolen your phone or may have gotten hold of your phone since the person may be able to use your card through Google Pay.  

To only block your card in Google Pay, call:

Since Google Wallet doesn’t store your card details on your device, someone who finds or steals your device can’t access the information from the device, even if it is unlocked.

If I block my card, will it be blocked in Google Pay as well?

Yes.

Does it cost anything to use Google Pay?

No, there is no fee to use Google Pay.  

Is it possible for me to see if a transaction is made with Google Pay?

You will be able to see your 10 last transactions made within 30 days with Google Pay in the Google Pay app- Although on your transaction list on your statement, in the app and in the netbank you will not be able to see if the transaction was made with Google Pay or not.  

Do I need internet to make a purchase in store with Google Pay?

No.

I have received a new card: do I need to enroll it to Google Pay?

If you have received a new card because your old card has expired, you do not need to re-enroll your card to Google Pay, this will be done automatically.  

If you have ordered a new card for some reason (f.eg. you have blocked your old card) you will need to remove your old card from Google Pay and enroll your new card.  

Can I enroll a supplementary card to Google Pay?

Yes, to enroll a supplementary card you do the exakt same steps as when enrolling the primary card.  

You can have maximum 10 debit/credit cards enrolled.  

How do I remove my card from Google Wallet?

If you no longer want your card to be enrolled to Google Wallet, you can remove it: 

  1. Open the Google Wallet app 
  2. Find the card you want to remove
    If it is not the primary card, swipe to the left until you find it 
  3. Click on the card 
  4. Click on More (three dots) and choose “Remove payment method”
